5 Ways To Keep Yourself Motivated With Fitness

 Happy Tuesday! So today I am going to be talking about fitness and how to keep yourself motivated, one of my goals this year was to be more consistent with fitness and to keep it involved in my routine. So far, so good… I have been working with a great trainer called Ashton from a gym called Absolute Body Solutions in Liverpool, I am currently on my last full week of my six-week program and I have absolutely loved it throughout. I actually look forward to going, it is hard and you get pushed but it is all worth it and especially when you start to see results (plus I always feel really good once I’m finished!). I couldn’t recommend this gym enough to people who are wanting to tone up and improve, stay healthy, loose weight or whatever your goal may be.

Set a goal

I think it is important to set yourself a goal because it will make you work towards it that little bit more, and it will motivate you too. I would say to keep it realistic though and make sure it is well suited to your lifestyle.  

Change up your workout routine

Adding variety to your workouts will keep your exercises from becoming ineffective and will stop you from getting bored. Your body also needs time to repair itself, if you do the same workout each day you won’t be giving certain muscles enough time to heal and you can increase your chances of being injured.

Have a required workout time

Set yourself a set time out of your day to workout a couple of days a week, write it in your calendar on your phone as a reminder or in your diary. Once I finish my program soon, I am going to go to the gym the same time as I would if I was going to personal training.  

Rethink your attitude to exercise

Working out can definitely put you in a better mood, I always feel like I have accomplished something when I have finished and it sets me up for the day if I work out in the morning. It increases our endorphins and has proven effects on putting us in a better mood, just 30-60 minutes of exercise a day can make you a happier person.

Have a good music playlist

In my opinion, having a good playlist makes exercise feel easier and stops you from getting distracted. There are a lot of specific playlists online depending on the type of exercise you are actually doing so I would recommend looking into it.

Fitness is one of those things where you are constantly learning, I am no expert myself but you have got to start somewhere and it is beneficial once you make it a part of your routine. Your body will thank you later!
